Monitor menu button stuck5/3/2023 ![]() I ordered it through my former employer so the process might be different due to that. Maybe I could get an upgrade to the 2408 for free?Īnyone know if the 2408wfp has overheating or busted power button problems?Įdit: Also, when you do a warranty exchange, they send one out and you send yours back only after receiving the replacement. I'm still under warranty so I'm gonna try and demand a refund since they clearly NEVER solved these problems. ![]() I'm actually pretty disgusted at the high rate of these two problems that I've seen in the three 2407wfp's I've had. My current one also actually overheats, but only after 1) being on a long time and 2) watching full screen (or nearly full screen) video, which is rare. they sent me a third but it had a BAD overheating problem to the point of being useless, so I sent it back with a pissed off letter inside. I think I used my fingernails or something. Actually, tape may be the best way to get it rotated. But you need to put a piece of clear tape over the whole thing to keep it from rotating again. If you can manage to get the power button rotated back to its normal orientation, it should work normally again. ![]() I would suggest just plugging in a VGA thing to get it back to normal, assuming it doesn't have a dedicated button for cycling through inputs, or an 'auto search for input' button. Eventually random luck (and maybe pressing especially hard) causes the button to pop out of alignment and rotate. It should let you control/change settings in any mode, regardless of whether you have something plugged in or not. It's that they're misaligned with each other. The problem is not the electrical switch itself, or even the plastic button part. ![]()
